Full Time Mental Health Therapist

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage a full-time caseload of clients seeking to improve their emotional health using motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral activation, and other evidence-based therapeutic models.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients using in-person and telehealth tools.
  • Help clients set relevant and concrete goals and work toward meaningful outcomes
  • Utilize programs to help clients learn to manage their conditions
  • Diligently track your client's progress and serve as an accountability partner
  • Problem-solve with clients, providing ongoing feedback, advice, and encouragement
  • Work with a collaborative team
  • Promptly respond to clients to ensure all needs are met
  • Maintain records of interactions with clients in keeping with legal standards
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times; adhere to HIPPA guidelines, rules, and regulations



Therapist's Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or another relevant field
  • Licensed with the appropriate state licensing board in your field and licensed to practice therapy in good standing in Maryland (LCPC, LCSW-C, LMFT, LMSW, LGPC) 
  • Experience in cognitive behavior therapy and other evidence-based models
  • Experience with children and adults


Part Time Mental Health Therapist

Administrative Assistant

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creates a welcoming well-organized office environment for consumers, visitors, and employees, responding to routine and non-routine basic to moderately complex inquires.
  • Answers telephones and gives information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Retrieves information from a variety of industry specific software programs to create, compile, maintain and distribute reports/data and documents using Microsoft Office programs on an intermediate level. Provides basic analysis (e.g., outliers, missing data).
  • Coordinates the flow of information both internally and externally.
  • Resource for administrative operations policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate information to support projects/teams/department/site(s).
  • May participate in recruiting support and onboarding activities.

Consumer accounts

  • May conduct and maintain proper medical record documentation in accordance with Transformative Beginnings' Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial/insurance information or directs others to do so.
  • Ensures paperwork is compiled in a timely manner. This may include, but is not limited to client consents, authorization requests, redeterminations, prior authorizations, letters and other client related correspondence.
  • Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.

Calendaring & Meeting Coordination

  • Oversees client scheduling with attention to appropriate scheduling of appointments, follow ups, discharges and coordination of walk-in appointments. Resolves issues as required.
  • Facilitates arrangements for interviews, trainings, etc.
  • Actively participates in meetings.
  • May attends meetings and may prepare notes/minutes for distribution.
  • May coordinate/organize such as but not limited to meetings, events/celebrations, conferences, teleconferences and/or travel.

Miscellaneous

  • May direct, provide coverage or assist other administrative support staff
  • Provides basic research for input into projects to assist with project analysis.
  • Liaison with external contractors and vendors
  • Reviews operating practices and implement improvements where necessary
  • Ensures compliance with relevant laws, HIPPA regulations and established company policies, procedures, standards and Compliance program.
  • Acknowledged resource for office/department on administrative policy/procedures and systems.
  • Complies with Transformative Beginnings' Policies and Procedures.


Requirements:

 

  • High school Diploma or GED Required
  • Higher education coursework (preferred)
  • 2+ years’ experience in a fast-paced healthcare office environment (preferred)
